Parex Thixtropic Joint Filler

Parex Thixtropic Joint Filler is a pumped mortar purpose-designed for filling joints and gaps in precast concrete units without the need for formwork. The thixotropic qualities of the mortar and non-shrink additives allow it to stay in place without slumping and to provide a complete high strength bond between sections. Before forming an initial set, it can be tooled off to provide a complete and smooth joint.

The material can be used for placing in horizontal and vertical gaps of 5mm to 100mm where a cementitious mortar infill is required and flow grouting is inappropriate. It requires only the addition of water on site and is mixed using a drill and paddle followed by hand or mechanical pump placement. For larger jobs mixer pumps can be used. Thixtropic Joint Filler is chloride-free and can be safely used in contact with steel reinforcement.

Uses includes structural support between and beneath precast concrete elements, permanent insitu shuttering in joints between precast concrete elements which will be post grouted and rapid placement using Duo-Pump systems.
