It is the customers responsibility to provide an accurate delivery address. If the courier is unable to deliver your order due to issues with access to the delivery address, your goods will be returned to the local delivery depot for delivery on the next working day. Please note a redelivery charge of up to £89 plus VAT per pallet may be applied. If your order is undelivered and returned to us a restocking fee may also be applied.

Failure to do so may incur a redelivery charge if the courier cannot access the delivery address due to undeclared or incorrect delivery restrictions. If your order is over 150kg it may be delivered on a pallet. The courier will notify you of a two hour delivery window. In the event that no one is available at the address to receive the delivery a charge of up to £89 plus VAT per pallet may be applied for redelivery.

What is Sika 1 Pre-Bag Screed Mortar?
Sika 1 Pre-Bag Screed Mortar is a pre-bagged waterproof screed that forms part of the Sika 1 Pre-Bagged Structural Waterproofing System. It is made from specially graded aggregates, cement and waterproofing admixtures, so once mixed with water it becomes part of a fully bonded Type A waterproofing barrier. On floor applications, it is used as the top screed layer within the full 3-coat system rather than as a standalone waterproofing product.
Where can Sika 1 Pre-Bag Screed Mortar be used?
It is used for structural waterproofing in below ground and water-retaining applications. Typical uses include basements, cellars, vaults, tunnels, swimming pools and other water-retaining structures. It is also used for internal waterproofing of below ground structures to help meet BS8102 Grades 1 to 3.
Can it be used externally and on wet substrates?
Yes. Sika 1 Pre-Bag Screed Mortar can be used internally and externally, and it can be applied to wet substrates. It is suitable for use on concrete, brick and structural blockwork, and the wider system can be used in both negative and positive water pressure situations. That makes it suitable for a wide range of structural waterproofing projects where site conditions are more demanding than standard screed work.
How is Sika 1 Pre-Bag Screed Mortar mixed and what does each bag cover?
Each 25kg bag is mixed with 2.5 litres of clean water. A mixed bag yields around 12.3 litres of mortar, which is enough to cover approximately 0.6m² at 20mm thick. Mechanical mixing using a forced action mixer or a drill and paddle mixer is recommended to help keep air entrapment low. A tumble mixer is not suitable.
Is Sika 1 Pre-Bag Screed Mortar used on its own?
No. It is designed to be used as part of the Sika®-1 Mortar Waterproofing System for floors. The floor build-up consists of a bonding slurry coat of Sika®-1 Pre-bag Spritz Mortar, followed by a 10mm coat of Sika®-1 Pre-bag Spritz Mortar and a 20mm coat of Sika®-1 Pre-bag Screed Mortar. This gives a minimum total system thickness of 30mm, although the screed thickness may need to be increased depending on loading and site conditions.
What should I know about storage, shelf life and limitations?
Sika 1 Pre-Bag Screed Mortar has a shelf life of 6 months from the date of production and should be stored dry at temperatures between 10°C and 30°C. During application, the ambient temperature should be between 5°C and 30°C. The system should not be exposed to frost while curing, and the substrate must be structurally sound, clean and free from contaminants so the waterproofing system can bond properly.
