Parex Bedding Mortar SF is a Portland cement based powder mix including special shrinkage compensating components. The mixed material produces a mortar, which may be rammed into gaps between concrete units, without the use of shuttering, to create a supporting fill. The specially selected blend of sands enables a smooth flush finish to be achieved with the same mix as used to fill gaps giving the illusion of a continuous concrete panel thus eliminating the secondary pointing operation to finish the placement. Parex Bedding Mortar SF can also be used to fill lifting eyes.

The factory batched product is ready to use and only requires the addition of water on site. The incorporation of shrinkage compensating additives ensures that the placed mortar maintains contact within the filled section. The mortar is chloride free and can be safely used in contact with reinforcing steel. Parex Bedding Mortar SF can be used for placing in horizontal and vertical gaps and may be rammed into place within gaps of 10mm to 75mm for structural support, and down to 5mm for finishing.   Uses include:
  • Bedding of precast units.
  • Pointing joints.
  • Filling lifting eyes.
  • Placement in gaps to form a fill without the use of shuttering.

It is the customers responsibility to provide an accurate delivery address. If the courier is unable to deliver your order due to issues with access to the delivery address, your goods will be returned to the local delivery depot for delivery on the next working day. Please note a redelivery charge of up to £89 plus VAT per pallet may be applied. If your order is undelivered and returned to us a restocking fee may also be applied.

 

Please inform us of any delivery restrictions (eg weight restrictions, narrow roads). Failure to do so may incur a redelivery charge if the courier cannot access the delivery address due to undeclared or incorrect delivery restrictions. A redelivery charge of up to £89 plus VAT per pallet may be applied.

 

If your order is over 150kg it may be delivered on a pallet. The courier will notify you of a two hour delivery window. In the event that no one is available at the address to receive the delivery a charge of up to £89 plus VAT per pallet may be applied for redelivery.

How do I mix Parex Bedding Mortar SF?

Pour the required quantity of water into a suitable mixing vessel. Slowly add the powder to the water whilst continuously mixing. Mechanical mixing is recommended. Suitable mixers include a slow speed high torque drill with a Mortar Stirrer or a forced action mixer such as Creteangle or Mixal. Mixing should be continued to form a mortar of consistency suitable for ramming into place.
